This is because IIS_IUSRS does not have permission for Local Launch or Local Activation of either the PDF2Image or PDF2TIFCom COM servers which are used by the SDK to convert PDF documents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grant access for the IIS_IUSRS user to launch and activate the above COM servers:<\/p>\n<p>Run dcomcnfg.exe<\/p>\n<p>From Console Root, expand Component Services\/Computers\/My Computer\/DCOM Config<\/p>\n<p>Scroll down to locate PDF2Image.CPDF2Image, right click on the item and select Properties.<\/p>\n<p>Click on the Security tab<\/p>\n<p>In Launch and Activate Permissions select Customize and click on Edit.<\/p>\n<p>If IIS_IUSRS is not in the list then click on Add and enter IIS_IUSRS before clicking on OK.<\/p>\n<p>Grant IIS_IUSRS permission for Local Launch and Local Activation.<\/p>\n<p>Click on OK to exit from Launch and Activate Permissions and then click on OK to exit from Properties.<\/p>\n<p>Repeat for PDF2TIFCom.CPDF2TIFCom<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This article explains how to configure your system to allow an ASP application to use the Softek Barcode Reader SDK to process PDF Documents on an x64 system.
